Our motivation is really simple; families living in housing stress need access to affordable housing.
Our homes are located across Victoria in metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria, and the Mornington Peninsula. We build where land is affordable and where there are community groups willing to support our projects and our partner families.
Our current major project is at Prospect Rise, Yea, located in rural Victoria about an hour and a half northeast of Melbourne. We've recently acquired land in Crib Point on the Mornington Peninsula, and are excited to begin developing that site very soon.
The Yea Heights Estate development has its origins in our desire to assist families affected by the 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires. After developing the site and connecting all required services, we have now built 9 affordable houses on this affordable housing estate which provides “a place to call home” for our partner families and their 23 children aged between 2 and 17. We plan to build another 6 houses by mid 2018 and complete the project by mid 2019.

Mornington Peninsula affordable housing
In February 2018 Habitat for Humanity Victoria acquired a large property at Crib Point on the Mornington Peninsula. It is set to be the site of Habitat for Humanity Victoria's next major affordable housing development.
We're looking forward to partnering with local families and the community to build homes and hope at Crib Point. For updates, be sure to follow Habitat for Humanity Victoria on Facebook, and check out our blog.
